"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit." - Matthew 28:19
Jesus was clear about the mission of the church.
Here at Mountain Park Church, we understand our unique calling as inviting the distracted and the
disinterested to realize their role in God's story.
At Mountain Park, everything we do is about fueling life change and helping you
transform to Realize Your Role In God’s Story. Thus, life change is an ongoing
experience that lasts our entire lives, as God uses His Spirit, His Word, our community
and our experiences to transform us. Click on the links to discover more about Baptism,
Communion.
So as a church, we find creative ways to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus. We
provide exciting programs for kids, students, and adults. We build relationships with our
friends, family, and neighbors and share our transformation story. We preach and study
God's Word. We utilize the arts to tell the story of the Gospel. We share meals, friendship,
and prayers with the homeless in our community. We partner with organizations across
the street and around the world that are introducing lost people to Jesus. We do all these
things and more to introduce people to the One who transforms.
We believe there is only one God, the Creator and Ruler of all, who exists eternally as a Trinity of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity is fully God, and each is personally distinct from the other.
We believe God the Father (first person of the Trinity) is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, sovereignty, and love. Infinite and personal, the Father cares deeply for each person and is actively involved in our world so that every
We believe Jesus Christ (second person of the Trinity) is the eternal Son of God, the visible image of the invisible God, who became a man and subjected himself to the trials and temptations of humanity.
We believe the Holy Spirit (third person of the Trinity) comes to live within a person who puts their trust in Jesus. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live as God wants us to live and gives us spiritual gifts to serve the church and change.
We believe the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God. Written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write down what God wanted to communicate to us, it is both the loving expression of God’s.
We believe men and women were created by God to live in relationship with God, but that they rebelled by going their own way and thereby introduced sin into the world. Like a virus, sin has spread to all humans.
We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross as punishment for our sins and that those who believe in Jesus are saved from both the authority and eternal consequences of sin. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe the Church is neither a building nor an organization, but a community of Christ-followers that is mobilized to make disciples and radically impact the world for God. Jesus is the head of the Church and all who.
We rely on the Bible as the foundation for all matters of faith and practice. By adhering to God’s Word and seeking God, we can best observe his greatest commandments, which are to love God and love others.
Our Pastors, Staff, and Board are committed to humbly serving our community with their gifts and talents.
Part of being a safe place means we are okay with questions. Asking is part of who we are. Below is a list of common questions we’ve received. If you have a question that you don’t see here, contact us and we will answer as best we can.
When you walk through the doors, you will experience a welcoming, positive, and
upbeat atmosphere.
Adults and High School Students you will experience great music, a biblically based
message and some fun. We believe there is a high value in adding in elements of fun
to a Sunday experience. We take Jesus seriously, but not ourselves.
Kids Ministry is available during our services where kids gather in nurturing
age-specific environments. Our strategy is simple: to keep these environments
purposeful, safe, and fun.
Middle School Students and their families are invited to worship with us at 10:30
AM. During this service time Middle School Students gather together inside the
Student Union (SU) to hear a compelling and relevant message from Scripture, play
some awesome games, experience God through worship, and build friendships in Small
Groups!
High School (SU Hangout) takes place on Sundays at 4:30 PM. We’re so excited to have
9th through 12th grade students join us to share a meal, explore the Bible, walk
alongside one another in Small Groups, and spend time in meaningful and heartfelt
worship during what we call the SU Hangout! This is an amazing opportunity for our
High School students to continue building their faith story while also attending or
serving during a morning service!
It is important to us that we are not only a place or those who call Mountain Park
home, but a church that serves Ahwatukee and the surrounding Phoenix area.
Throughout the week, we offer free yoga and fitness classes to anyone who would like
to attend.
Mountain Park is part of the Church of God movement with headquarters in Anderson, IN. We consider our affiliation with the Church of God the best of both worlds. On one hand, we are part of something bigger than ourselves - we are part of the larger Church. On the other hand, we are a self-governing church - free to direct vision and style according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Do you give to, serve with or pray for Mountain Park? If yes, then you are a member, or what we like to call our CORE. Being part of the CORE at Mountain Park is directly related to your involvement in our church community.
Yes. Women may participate fully in the leading and teaching of our church.
